This iconic T-Shirt design comes from 'The Stone Roses' original album cover that was painted by Roses Guitarist John Squire.
Squire said that the deep green colour that forms the background of the album cover “was based on the colour of the water and the foam at the Giant’s Causeway.”
He also told Q magazine in 2001: “Ian had met this French man when he was hitching around Europe. This bloke had been in the riots, and he told Ian how lemons had been used as an antidote to tear gas.”
